What is Risò?

It is more than just a festival. It is a place where rice becomes a story, an experience, a vision.

Risò transforms Vercelli and its surrounding province into an ongoing stage for regional heritage, where the local grain bridges landscape, history, and innovation. Here, rice is not merely a product—it is identity, and increasingly, a travel destination.

The festival is an initiative that goes beyond an event: created to celebrate rice-growing culture, it gives a voice to those who preserve, innovate, and share it with the world every day. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the region through its roots and local excellence.

Join us for three days of talks, tours, and interactive workshops that bring rice enthusiasts and industry professionals from around the globe to Vercelli.

RisoFF: the off-festival experience

The festival’s energy extends far beyond the main venues with RisoFF. This widespread program brings exhibitions, performances, sports, installations, and experiential pathways to the city of Vercelli and the surrounding Borghi delle Vie d’Acqua (Waterway Villages), brought to life by local associations, artists, and citizens.
