A guided excursion amidst the golden expanses of rice and the thousand-year-old heritage of the Granges, where nature, history and tradition intertwine in an authentic and engaging experience.
A day dedicated to discovering the cultivation of rice and its history from the ancient mill of San Giovanni’s rice mill – now part of the Ecomuseo delle Terre d’Acqua – to the site of the Bosco della Partecipanza in Trino.
The journey continues to discover the Grange of Pobietto with a rustic lunch and the evocative Museum of Rice-growing Civilization, revealing curiosities, anecdotes and knowledge related to the world of rice.
The beating heart of the day is the visit to Colombara Farmhouse, an iconic place for rice-growing culture and the history of rice weeders (“mondine”), and then to Lucedio where to climb exclusively the Bell Tower and enjoy the landscape shaped by work and memory, in a tour that combines nature, culture and flavours in the beating heart of Vercelli. Return to Vercelli with the possibility of visiting the historic centre or the Village, the beating heart of Risò.
